- Always use a Sunscreen Protectant Spray for the hair when going to the beach.
The sun will cause dryness and color fading. - Clarify your hair with a Clarifying Shampoo after the pool or beach.
Hair easily absorbs salt and chlorine. For healthy hair, it is best to remove both. - Use a Hydrating Mask and leave in hair for at least one hour.
Hydrating the hair replenishes your strands and helps retain moisture providing greater elasticity, a silkier feel, and higher sheen. - Always apply a Leave-in-Conditioner after cleansing and applying a hair mask.
A leave-in conditioner moisturizes the scalp and hair and protects hair from hot tools and heat damage. Products with UV protectants even protect from the harsh rays of the sun. Think of this step as your foundation before applying any other products to your hair or blowdrying and styling.
Travel Dates
After canceling my flights back to NY 3 times due to ever-changing COVID restrictions here in Oahu, I now plan on returning to NY in October. I would LOVE to say September but it’s just around the corner and COVID numbers here are increasing by the triple digits!!
I have referred a few stylists to those who have reached out to me. If you need formulas or recommendations please feel free to contact me for assistance.
Stay tuned for the exact dates for October…

New Year, New Hair
Did you know that nutrition affects your hair?
Yes, diet is extremely important if you want healthy, strong hair.
Science has shown that eating the right balanced meals can avoid hair loss. Of course, stress can add to hair loss as well. If we can avoid this by eating the proper foods we can have beautiful healthy strong hair.
Here are some tips on what foods can help promote healthy hair and avoid hair loss:
BREAKFAST:
Balanced proteins and complex carbohydrates can help give your hair a boost in the morning.
LUNCH:
High protein like fish, chicken, lean meats, tofu, eggs will promote growth.
DINNER:
Eating lean meat at least twice a week is a great way to obtain iron which helps with hair growth.
SNACKS & VITAMINS
Snack on nuts, fruits, and veggies.
STAY HYDRATED!
Drinking 1.5 to 2 liters of water can help keep your scalp hydrated. Dry scalp can lead to other unwanted effects like itchiness, flaking, and prevents healthy growth.
DAIRY:
Although I am a huge lover of cheese, it may not be the best for you. If you are prone to dandruff, eczema or psoriasis, dairy can trigger this condition.

Fun Fact for 2020
Color of the year is :
PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue
This resonates so much with my experience in Hawaii! Being around so much blue between the ocean and the sky I cannot express how peaceful and calming it has been for me. Having a sense of connection with mother earth but also confidence and stability. One important key to fashion is knowing what colors are trending!
